VCARSYSTEM’s VCAR DAS Awarded SGS Software Functional Safety Certification; Offline Certificate Presentation Ceremony Successfully Held

April 10, 2026 – VCARSYSTEM officially announced that its independently developed VCAR DAS and VCAR EA toolchains have successfully passed the rigorous assessment of SGS, the world’s leading Testing, Inspection and Certification company. Both products have been awarded the ISO 26262:2018 Automotive Functional Safety ASIL D Product Certificate.
This achievement marks a significant milestone, demonstrating that VCARSYSTEM’s technical capabilities and functional safety management system have reached internationally advanced standards, providing customers with more robust and reliable safety assurance.

The offline certificate presentation ceremony, jointly organized by VCARSYSTEM and SGS, was recently held successfully. Representatives from both organizations attended the event, including Kang Li,CTO of VCARSYSTEM, Riguang Bai, Quality Director and Jia Zhang, General Manager of Sales for East China at SGS Automotive Services.

During the ceremony, SGS formally presented the software functional safety certificates to VCARSYSTEM. Both parties also engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as the evolving trends of functional safety technologies and their future industrial applications.
This ceremony not only recognized VCARSYSTEM’s continued dedication to excellence but also reinforced its commitment to upholding safety as a core value and driving sustainable industry development.
The awarded certification is based on internationally recognized standards, including IEC 61508 (Functional Safety of Electrical/Electronic/Programmable Electronic Safety-Related Systems) and ISO 26262 (Road Vehicles – Functional Safety).
As a global benchmark for quality and integrity, SGS conducted a comprehensive, end-to-end evaluation of VCARSYSTEM’s VCAR DAS and VCAR EA toolchains. The assessment covered the entire development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, system architecture, implementation, testing, verification, and safety management processes.
The results confirm that VCARSYSTEM’s software meets stringent functional safety requirements in areas such as fault handling and risk control, demonstrating a high level of reliability and security.
VCAR DAS and VCAR EA are high-security, ASIL D–compliant software toolchains independently developed by VCARSYSTEM.
VCAR DAS integrates a wide range of capabilities—including simulation, diagnostics, and database parsing—while also enabling SIL/HIL testing and bus development testing. It maximizes efficiency and streamlines workflows across platforms, reducing manual effort, accelerating development cycles, and improving testing accuracy.
VCAR EA is VCARSYSTEM’s automated testing software designed to work seamlessly with VCAR DAS, enabling one-click deployment of a complete automated testing environment. It allows users to develop test cases covering diverse scenarios and operating conditions, while supporting dynamic scenario parameterization and generalization through Python scripting.
